The Trial

Though MBCT is taking a respite from producing works, Miriam is not! She is currently the Assistant Director for The Trial, the first school show at NYU's Gallatin School of Individualized Study. Directed by Kristin Horton, it is the Steven Berkoff version of Kafka's novel. The costumes, set, lighting, and music are pretty amazing!

Joseph K, a bank manager, wakes up one morning to find two guards in his bedroom. He's arrested, not told why, and thrown around a dizzying bureaucratic system. Everyone he meets seems to know his business and have a tidbit of advise to help him get to the next level... but the levels are infinite, and the advise borders on nonsensical.

Ideas are Brewing

Grad school is intense. Grad school is not easy. Grad school is secretly kind-of fun.

MBCT will only benefit from all the rich ideas grad school provides. And already, the next show is being formed, ideas are being tossed around, and words are finding their way to the page.

The next MBCT play, Ladies and Gentlemen, is well on its way to formation!
